Chen Minwei

Dr. Chen is a faculty a faculty member of the SingHealth Neurosurgery Residency Programme in NNI and is known for his successful surgical education philosophies. Dr. Chen has a keen sense for neurosurgical navigation and is deeply involved in the use of technology to enhance neurosurgical education. He is a co-developer and clinical advisor for Kyalio’s Neurosurgery curriculum.

Nicole Keong

Nicole Keong

Dr. Keong is a Cambridge trained neurosurgeon and neuroscientist, attaining both her MPhil and MD degrees from Cambridge University in England. Having practiced at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, she is a senior consultant and Research Lead, Department of Neurosurgery, National Neuroscience Institute in Singapore.

Ramez Kirollos

Ramez Kirollos

Dr. Ramez is an Examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was based at Addenbrooke’s Cambridge University Hospital for 20 years before moving to Singapore. He is a co-founder of the Cambridge Lectures in Neurosurgery Anatomy and co-founder of the British Neurosurgical Training Course at Cambridge University. Having lectured at Cambridge University for almost 2 decades, Dr. Kirollos is undoubtedly one of the most respected cerebrovascular and skull base surgeons in the world. Dr. Kirollos is a co-developer of Kyalio’s neurosurgery curriculum, surgical pedagogy advisor and clinical content contributor.

 

General Surgery

Asim Shabbir

Asim Shabbir

Dr. Asim has practiced surgery all around the world and is a leader in minimally invasive bariatric, metabolic and upper gastrointestinal surgery. He is well published amongst reputed journals for his research in laparoscopic surgical techniques for metabolic surgery. He is a co-developer of Kyalio’s General Surgery curriculum and a significant contributor of clinical material. Dr. Asim is a valued mentor to many surgical residents around the world and is a regularly engaged in both physical and digital surgical education outreach programmes around the region.

Davide Lomanto

Davide Lomanto

Prof. Lomanto is a global authority on Hernia repair with almost 40 years of surgical experience and countless publications and textbook chapters. He is past-president and current secretary general of the Endolaparoscopic Surgeons of Asia, a 3000 member surgical society, and Secretary/Treasurer of the International Federation of Societies of Endoscopic Surgeons. He is a co-developer of Kyalio’s General Surgery curriculum and significant contributor of clinical material. Prof. Lomanto has been heavily involved in minimally invasive surgical education across the world including SEA, Indian Sub-continent, Japan, Korea and Europe.

Sujith Wijerathne

Dr. Sujith has been heavily involved as an instructor for basic/advanced laparoscopy and suturing workshops both in Singapore and around the SEA region. He has a keen interest in undergraduate and post-graduate surgical education and has authored award winning publications and surgical book chapters on minimally invasive surgery. He is a clinical content contributor to Kyalio’s curriculum while leading the surgical services planning at Alexandra Hospital in Singapore.
